American University of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan)

The American University of Central Asia is an international, multi-disciplinary learning community in the American liberal arts tradition that develops enlightened and impassioned leaders for the transformation of Central Asia.

Founded in 1993, AUCA is located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Its 1100 current students come primarily from the five former Soviet Central Asian Republics (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) as well as Afghanistan. AUCA provides all students with strong liberal arts training as well as professional skills necessary for the development of the region’s economy. In addition to more that dozen undergraduate programs, AUCA offers an MBA and an MA in Central Asian Studies.
