Math and Writing Center-Creative Writing Contest

It’s Contest Time!

Dear students,

The Math and Writing Center is delighted to invite you to participate in a Writing Contest, entitled:

And I Need to Write this Letter

No secret, writing can heal. You can write your way out of the past, your long-kept silence, the pain brought by the war…

You may even write your way out of here and now by writing to someone in the past or in the future (even to yourself!).

Think out of the box! We want unique and interesting stories that will add warmth and creative vibes to these challenging days. Write a letter of minimum 250 words to someone of your choice and let the unspoken words be heard.

We will have three winners!

Those who will take the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will receive a Gift Card from a bookstore.

But there is more.

We want to thank every student who will take the time to write a letter. So, all participants of the contest will be invited to a special workshop with one of our beloved professors Zareh Tjeknavorian.

Deadline for Submissions: April 5, 2021, at 11:00 AM

Email your letters to: [email protected]

We are looking forward to reading your pieces of writing!

Good luck!

Notes:

  • Your letter should be of minimum 250 words to be accepted for the contest.
  • When submitting your letters, please include your program and year of study in your email.
  • The winner will be featured on the Math and Writing Center’s website. In a short text interview, we will give you an opportunity to share your thoughts and impressions with us.
